In addition, I'd love to share with you some more cards I made while playing with my kit–it was so much fun stamping with this set of stamps, too!! There is a great video on watercoloring, below as well….
First of all, I just LOVE how simple and easy this card is–only took about 5 minutes to make! My kind of card!! I used the leaf printed paper piece from the kit along with one of the gold stickers and then tied some of the included twine around the bottom. Stamped a greeting (from the set) on a scrap of paper and popped it up with the left-over dimensionals. The card base is one from the kit. EASY as pie!
On the inside of the card I used the pieces from the sticker that are supposed to come out. Now if you are thinking I aligned them up so good, you'd be right….but here is how I did it: When I pulled the sticker off the sheet. The whole thing (inside pieces and all) came off. I then set it on the inside of my card and used my stylus tool to push the inside pieces to the carstock, while I peeled back the sticker. They ended up all nicely aligned, then I stuck the sticker on the outside of the card. Easy!
…so you can appreciate the golden sheen….
I'm not gonnal lie–this card has to be my fav!!! I had a piece of watercolor paper sitting on my desk that I couldn't get rid of (because that would be wasteful!!) and so I grabbed it and just stamped those flowers one at a time in different shades of pink and coral. LOVE the look. Then I decided to pull out my aqua painter and just blend some color a bit. Check out the video:
Look how beautiful this is!!! (Can you see the dance party I've got going on here? Let me tell you it is more than enough to embarass my entire family!!!) Sometimes a girl just needs to dance it out!
I actually made this one before the card in the video–can you tell the difference!! While this card is really pretty, it doen't have the "pop" of the petals from the Calypso Coral card above! See–just a few tips can make you a stamping savant! Watercoloring is one technique that I LOVE because it can make an average stamper in to a stamping EXTRODINAIRE!!! Plus it makes you look fancy in your skills! 😉
This was actually the first card I made–I kind of went in reverse order! I love the simplicity ofit and how it is fairly masculine, which is always a trick to make those cards. I really like how the Pear Pizzazz looks with the Basic Gray and Smoky Slate, too!
