Thanks for stopping by for another edition of Friday Quickie Techniques and Tips Video Series! Today I am going to show you how to add a bit of glitter spritz to the backgrounds of your cards. This is a technique that was shown at Stampin Up's Convention this summer during one of the presentations and I just love how simple and fun it is! Now normally, I am not a huge fan of glitter, but I do believe there is a time and a place for this–and I think this technique is perfect!
This card is based of a couple I have seen on Pinterest and I just love how it turned out! The colors are absolutely beautiful and you can make them as rich as you'd like depending on how much you sponge!
The Silver Foil Border looks great and really sets off the colors for the background (Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant).
The Sleigh Ride Edgelits are so fun and any of the designs from this set would be perfect for this card!
This card is so simple, but pretty–I used Soft Sky and Night of Navy for the background. The trees are stamped in black and are from the gorgeous set, Wonderland.
I love the look of the glitter "spritz" in this card! It really looks like snow!
This card is probably my favorite–because I just love Halloween and the fact that I could get my Christmas stamps to work for Halloween is pretty sweet! Colors are Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry.
Halloween should sparkle!!
Look at that color!! My camera has a hard time with all the sparkle–it doesn' t quite know what to focus on!
And this final one I was going for a Northern Lights look (like remember the scene in The Polar Express when they are reaching the top of the tracks just before they reach the North Pole? That's what I was going for. Not bad for no computer graphics! 🙂
Here I used Pool Party, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy, and a bit of Black Archival Ink on the very edge. LOVE it!!!
