  2. That takes care of the stamp that nobody likes! I really like the crumb cake note cards so making them prettier is a plus. Do you think the note cards would go for one stamp with that flower and pearl on them? Of course I loved the box too. You said the special goes to 1/12/17 did you mean 2/12/17 by any chance since it just aired? I like the other card too that you did.

  3. I love the Beautiful You Stamp. I have used it so many times. I used the dancer with an ocean scene behind it and cut out patterned paper for her dress and hat. My 16 year old grand daughter loved it for her birthday card. She goes to the beach as often as she can since we live in Southern California. I used the other lady looking into mirror at herself. An there are many examples of using patterned paper on the internet. And I loved your idea of the sun behind the lady. Like you said not every one loves all of the stamps but their are many who do.
I also like your little box for notes. Have a sparkling day.

  4. Dena,
I’m just getting a chance to view your FB live video from February 6. I had to stop the video and add my “two cents” about the dreaded stamp in the birthday stamp set. You mentioned in your video apparently this is a statement used in the South. I’m a southern girl, born and raised from north Florida where we are more like south Georgia or south Alabama and VERY unlike mid to south Florida where the tourists and snowbirds have had a very definite influence. I do know there are many southern sayings people who are not from the south just don’t get, but that one in the stamp set is one I’ve NEVER, EVER heard. I would love to know where you got your info as I would like to know where in the south that’s said and the context in which it is used.
I can tell you if you ever hear anyone from the south say “bless your heart” you can be assured THAT is not the compliment or blessing you might think. It is actually pretty much a slap in the face as we are saying “bless your heart you are so ugly/stupid/unfashionable/uninformed/etc.).
When I first saw that stamp I didn’t take it as a negative. I was sure there had to be a “story” behind it but never would I have thought Stampin’ Up! to have it mean or say anything which would be negative as that’s just not SU’s motto. Stampin’ Up! is in the business of promoting positive and good, not negativity. I can’t imagine what or where the saying on that stamp is from and can’t wait to hear.
Connie (a Proud, Happy & Positive Southern Girl)
P.S. Please, please, please do not take my comment the wrong way. I mean no harm, only want to be educated as to the meaning of this saying. I try everyday to promote love and happiness in the most Christian way as I feel I am a daughter of God and should only reflect love and happiness so I can portray His light.

  5. Hi Connie,
Thanks for your message–dont worry–I didnt take it the wrong way! 🙂
I have no clue what SUs reasoning behind this image was, but the way I heard it was from the south was from people who commented on an earlier video I did with this set–I asked what was up with that saying, and several chimmed in with comments saying it was a southern thing so that is all I can tell you! 🙂 I cant imagine ever sending that to anyone but maybe my bestie, as a joke–and she would appreciate it as just that. But NEVER to anyone else! Crazy, huh?!
