CASe This Sketch

CTS_145

So I found another challenge to try–I love how fun this one is!!  I also love that this is a "CASe" Case, which is a Clean and Simple Case–and that is probably my favorite style!!  I've had fun trying out some new challenges and I hope you are enjoying watching the creative process unfold.  I knew things were going well because of the unbelieveable mess I created in my office making this "Clean and Simple" card! 🙂

So I created the background with the Thank You.  In case you are wondering where that came from, I actually cut it apart from the other part of the stamp.  It is from the set, One Big Meaning, one of my favorite greeting sets!  I started with a light Smoky Slate Thank You (x2) and then I changed to Basic Gray and finally Basic Black.

This is the whole stamp–you can see how I've cut it apart, but what I love is that I goes right back together and can be used as it was intended with both parts of the stamp!!

As you can see, this is not the only stamp I did that with in this set!!  I love how it adds versatility to the set!!

The only thing you want to be careful with is that you don't under or over cut the foam–go straight through it so that the foam is even on both sides of the cut–not at an angle.  I use my old Craft and Rubber Scissors.  Any Short blade scissors will work, just be careful!

The flower is from the set, Flower Patch and I stamped it twice (offsetting it the second time) in Watermelon Wonder.   The petals below are in Smoky Slate to keep it a nice and simple card.

I added a cute center design in black and jazzed things up with a new Iced Rhinestone Embellishment.  The flower is fussy cut, but it is pretty easy to do!

I hope you enjoyed my project for  CTS #145!!  Don't forget:
