This week's Challenge at What Would You Stamp uses a wonderful stamp set, Vintage Leaves and I just knew I had to pull out my new Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder and the new Copper Foil Sheets!  And, I am super excited about the look:  Simple and classy and the start of fall!  First of all, that folder is AWESOME!!! I creates lots of texture and looks amazing!  The simple use of that with the copper is really nice and I am so happy with how it turned out!

Be careful when embossing, as I noticed when I got too close to the paper with my heat tool, it separated from the foil piece and bubbled a bit.

  1. Really pretty! I’m a pretty big fan of this color combo seeing how I have red hair. 🙂 Yeah… I don’t think I’m saving any money on making cards. 😛 In my mind I am. Some of those cards cost $5!! But, I do think I’m saving money on therapy for sure. I’m glad you kept pursuing the spritzing because I like your end result. I still have the copper ink pad. So, I’m thinking I could use that… Thanks for the inspiration!!

  2. Amazed that you embossed copper on the copper foil cardstock. What a great look! The leaves are just perfect for this technique. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I so enjoyed this video! I smiled through the whole thing and loved every minute of your experiments. I also enjoy how you talk with your hands, your excitement is seen with your movements! You definitely have a knack for talking with your hands!

  4. Great video, love the card. Recently learned from another card artist I follow, one can flick plain water using the “wet brush-tapping with another” method for embossing. Just have to work fairly quickly before the water dries. I tried & love this technique. Thanks for sharing!
