Welcome to the WWYS challenge! This week we are working with the Pieces and Patterns Stamp set. When I started to play with this set, I had it in my mind to use the T-Rex image but then I decided that I wanted a really bright color combo and the flower image was perfect to pair with this awesome Pick a Pattern DSP!
Gather Your Supplies:
- 1/2 Sheet Basic Black
- 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 Whisper White plus 4 x 5 1/4" for inside and scraps
- 2 7/8 x 3 7/8 Printed Paper
- 3 x 4" Basic Black
- 1 x 4" Strips of Pool Party, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, and Tangerine Tango plus scraps of those colors
- Pieces and Patterns stamp set
- Triple Banner Punch
- 1" Circle
- Memento Black
- Pool Party, Old Olive, and Tangerine Tango Stampin Blends
- Glimmer Dots
Each flower has a Glimmer Dot in the center–so fun!!
I had to decorate the inside–just a flower stamped on a scrap of Pool, Olive, Melon and Tangerine–then punched with the 1" circle punch.

Such a fun card. And what a fun way to use some of the smaller stamps.
This is thee perrrrfect card tutorial for me!! I’m really very new at this paper crafting thing, but oh, how much fun it is for me. But in my “newness” to the whole thing I found that I have A BUNCH of extra paper pieces because I’m not the best at getting it right the first time, (or the second, or the third..lol) when I measure and cut my paper. I’ve been hanging on to all those strip pieces, I can’t bring myself to throw them away ( being recently widowed and on a budget). Even though I have a stockpile of strips I keep adding to it, I keep cutting stuff the wrong size then have to trim or start over…lol. I cut way more paper than needed, just trying to get it right..lol. I am improving but SLOWWWLY ..lol. Anyways, I was needing something just like this, an easy layout idea, so I could utilize those strips and use them up. I’m lovin’ it!! Thank you so much for sharing your idea and your enthusiasm!! You’ve made me chuckle and smile so much since I subscribed and started watching all your video’s. I needed you and I don’t even know you..lol. ….Thank you so much!
