Welcome to the WWYS Challenge! This week we are working with the set Label My Pretty and I have to say that I really enjoyed the challenge this week! This set is awesome and I think the big reason is the coordinating punch! Whenever there is a coordinating punch for something, I am kinda giddy! 🙂
Gather Your Supplies:
- 1/2 Sheet Early Espresso
- 4 x 5 1/4" Old Olive and Very Vanilla
- 3 3/4 x 5 Pear Pizzazz
- Scraps of Early Espresso and Very Vanilla for punching and die cutting
- Layering Squares Framelits
- Copper Trim
- Label Me Pretty Bundle (set and punch)
- Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set
- Early Espresso Marker
- Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive and Early Espresso Pads
- Dimensionals
The Card came together great–I was looking for some ribbon to match and I tried (VERY unsuccessfully) some Pear Pizzazz Ribbon and it was just plain wrong. Then I grabbed my copper trim. It is really cool stuff–it actually will spread out to be about 3/4" wide, if desired–it is kind of like a netting or web-like. VERY cool to play with and it holds its shape, too! The regular 1/4"ish version was fine for my card but I am anxious to do more with this cool stuff!
On the vanilla square, I stamped the more solid image multiple times, with and with out reinking to get lots of shades of color. For the Hash-like leaf, I stamped just full strength a few times in Old Olive right on top.
For the inside I just stamped a few accent leaves to coordinate (You could do the matching envelope like this, as well!)
I think this card turned out fantastic! I hope you like it, too! It was SUPER easy to create and perfect to use for a variety of occasions–I can see using it for a Birthday, A Celebration–like a job promotion or something like that–a Thank You, or just a card for no reason! What would you send it for? Let me know in the comments!
