World Card Making Day International Blog Hop

Welcome to World Card Making Day Blog Hop!  I am so excited to have you join me for this awesome holiday to celebrate my favorite pass time: Card Making!!!  I have joined forces with several amazing women (and men) from around to world to share our passion for card making with you!  And, I am so excited about my poject!  Thank you so much for joining in on the fun–whether you are here for the first time or you stop by all the time, I am happy to welcome you to The Creativity Cave!  I am Dena Rekow and I have a passion for sharing stamping!

I am in love with the Pasisleys and Posies Stamp set!  It is so fun and really versatile!  I also really love all the products in the suite–There is Printed Paper, Copper Foil Sheets, Embossing Folder, coordinating Ribbon and cardstock–so many wonderful things that coordinate!  However, with my card I really wanted to show the look you can achieve without those coordinating items–so I came up with this!

Gather Your supplies:

• 1/2 Sheet of Whisper White, plus 2 7/8 x 3 3/4 and 2 1/4 x 3 panels
• 4 1/8 x 5 3 8" Pool Party Cardstock 2 3/4 x 3 5/8" panel
• 2 3/8 x 3 1/8" Bermuda Bay
• Black Archival, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Night of Navy ink pads
• Aqua painters
• Silver Metallic Thread
• Adhesive
• Greeting (mine is from Better Together)

I started by stamping the background, randomly in Pool Party ink on the largest Pool Party panel,  I adhered the larger white panel to the small Pool Party panel and added some of hte metallic thread.  I stamped the Paisley in Black and colored it in with my aquapainters.  I added some shimmer with the Clear Wink of Stella (because who doesn't love a little extra shimmer???  So cute!  I adhered the paisey to the Bermuda Bay panel and popped it up onto my card.  Lastly, I added the greeting in black.  Super cute!
