Stampin Up unveiled a new product while we were at convention last month, and I finally took the plunge to start carving my own stamps! I must admit I was really nervous because it comes with this beautiful slate of rubber full of amazing possibilities and I was determined not to wreck it!
So I've been pinning ideas to my Stampin Up Undefined Board, looking at some of the amazing things that I've seen all over the place and stressing about what I should make. I've been sketching all kinds of stuff and I also realized there is a reason I love stamping so much…I CAN'T DRAW!! PERIOD! (.)
So, long story short, I saw a circle flower much like the one I created (the biggest image) and figured I could probably manage that (until i realized it was a circle…the hardest thing to draw besides a life-like face…sheesh!) Anywho, I did it, stamped it and squeeled! YAY!!!!
Here is what I came up with:
I used the new photopolymer set, Another Thank You stamp set that was just released (and I love it!) Colors (for all my projects) are Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight with Whisper White and Black StazOn.
This one uses a few accessories…Chevron embossing folder (that I cut up), Chalk Talk Framelits, A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and the Dictionary background stamp, I added a couple of scallop circles and a little Bermuda Bay ribbon.
Again, used that new Photopolymer set, Another Thank You. Added a few rhinestones, a 2 3/8" scallop circle and a 1 3/4" circle punches.
I saved the best for last…I really love this one!! I used the Deco Label Framelits and the Modern Label punch plus the Boho Flower Punch and a Rhinestone plus the Another Thank You stamp set. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! I am so proud of myself! 🙂
This is a great post! I love your hand carved stamps can I case them? I made a taco stamp with my piece from convention, but I don’t think many people are gonna get excited about carving if I don’t show them something amazing like your stamps. I too have studied the things out there but this is perfect.
This is adorable!!! Great job!
Great stamp sets! And your cards are awesome! Perfect color combination! I am inspired!
