Welcome to the Thinking Outside the Box Blog Hop! This month we are working with a box with a hinge top! Whether You have just joined in from Sharlene's blog or this is your first stop, I am so excited to have you stop by The Creativity Cave!
I decided to create a really fun kind of Shabby-Chic box using the Petal Palette Bundle and rather than a single hinged lid, I created a double!
Gather Your Supplies:
- 4 15/16 x 4 15/16" Basic Gray Cardstock (score at 1" on all sides)
- 2 pieces of 4×5", score at 1 1/2" and 2 1/2" on the 4" side, and turn and score at 1" and 4" on the 5" side
- 2 3/4" square Smoky Slate Cardstock
- Scraps of Watercolor Paper
- Basic Gray, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, and Real Red Ink pads
- Hardwood Background Stamp
- Sponge Daubers
- Aqua painters
- Clear Wink of Stella
- Trimmer with scoring blade
- Liquid Glue
The side videw shows how it comes together–along with the next photo.
It was much easier than I anticipated to put together and I LOVE how pretty the watercolored flowers are against the gray box.
