So for this week's challenge I thought I would play with some hearts–after all it is LOVE–what represents love better than hearts? I love the hearts in the Groovy Love stamp set (not just because there is a coordinating Sweetheart Punch)! I figured that I would use some non-pink/red colors.
I picked Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay and Blackberry Bliss on a Crumb Cake card with some Silver Glimmer paper. Because nothing says love like a little glimmer, right?
I started with some Crumb Cake Hearts going down the side of my card (some are not reinked between stampings) to get a nice background. Then I stamped the colored hearts and punched them out. I layed out the hearts and added the word LOVE cut with the Little Layers framelits. I adhered the letters down and then popped up the 3 hearts. I added the little hearts (from the heart border punch) and a silver bow.
I think the cool part is that this card is one I can save for a fun occasion later because it isn't too Valentine-y! Hope you will be inspired to play along with us this week at Stamp Ink Paper!! Click on the challenge pic at the top of my post for details!

Cute card, Dena. Really great for a guy. I struggle with “guy” cards. This one is an inspiration to make something not so “girly” for my husband for Valentine’s Day. Keep up the great work. Love your videos.
Thanks so much, Sherry!! Glad you like the videos!! Guy cards are really challenging–I agree!!
