Stampin Up’s Watercolor Wishes Card Kit meets GDP006

So I have to say, that after my  last two posts (the one on the Watercolor Wishes Kit yesteroday) or the one on the (Global Design Project Challenge #006 the day before), I just couldn't put my stuff away and here is what happened: I combined the two for an amazingly beautiful card (not that I am judging, or anything but this is a really great card!)  I am virtually high-fiving you all because I am certain you think it is as awesome as I do, right?????  Don't leave a girl hanging!

So here is how this all came about:

This is my favorite card from that amazingly wonderful Watercolor Wishes Card Kit.  I just love everything about it–the watercolored lines, the colors, the flowers, the whole sha-bang!

SOOOOOO pretty, right?  Now how could I re-create that card??? I wanted to make it similar, yet different, if you know what I mean?!  So I had made the 2 cards for the GDP006 Challenge and decided to meld the two ideas together into one!

The colors incorporate all the projects, really: Smoky Slate, SO Saffron, Pear Pizzazz.  I substituted Pool Party for Bermuda Bay to lighten things up, and Rich Razzleberry for Blackberry Bliss so it was not quite so severe.  I'm in love!!

Now, to get the lines like on the card (and the same concept as the GDP#006, I used the new Brushstrokes Background stamp–from the Big Catalog).  They were perfect and I am looking forward to trying this in different color combos.  

Crazy About You Flower from Stampin Up's Watercolor Wishes Card Kit Inspired CASE with GDP#006

I loved the different punched flowers from the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit and I loved the big flower from Crazy about You that I used in my GDP#006 card, so I combined the two to get the arrangement here.  I subbed the tiny flowers and pearls here for the sequins on the kit card.

The result:  Stamping Perfection!!  Seriously–this is like the moment when the beam of light from above comes down and creates a glowing warm sensation in my stamp room for all to see and the angelic chorus of AHHHHHHHsssss in perfect harmony….    

….Ok, I was not abducted by aliens, but I do just love this card (can you tell?!)  I hope you do, too!!
