I created this adorable card for this challenge!  I will have to admit, while I LOVE lighthouses, I don't have any good lighthouse stamps, so this REALLY stumped me!  Like REALLY stumped me!  SO I went with this card–the fact that it has some cute little sailboats, means that it will count!

OH MY GOSH!!  It is a pop up!!!!  Here we go!  It really comes together quite easily–I just used scraps of paper from trimming cardstock to create the pop-up mechanism.

Gather your supplies:

  • 1/2 Sheet of Marina Mist Cardstock
  • 4 x 5 1/5" Night of Navy
  • 3 7/8 x 5 1/8" whisper white, scraps and 3 tags diecut (Tags and labels framelits)
  • Stamp A Bag and Watercolor Words Stamp sets
  • Pool Party, Night of Navy and Marina Mist Ink Pads.

To create the pop up parts, score a 5" x 1/2" (you could also go wider–up to 3/4" or even 1") the scrap of paper at 1, 2, 3, and 4".  Glue together.  Adhere one side each to card top and bottom, respectively (I like to adhere one side at a time so I guarantee I am adhering the right side! 🙂 Ask me how I know!! Line up with fold of card.

Attach Tag to the other side.  Repeat with the other two.  I usually place the larger one (3/4" x 6 1/4), in which I have scored at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 3 3/4 and 5. first.

  1. Love this card! The colors are perfect. And the way the colors go from dark to light reminds me of the colors of the sea! Thank you for showing this one. It is perfect!
