SIP Color Challenge

SIP 30

Check out the fun new color challenge we have at Stamp Ink Paper!!  I must admit, again, it is out of my comfort zone (though the gold makes me feel better!:)) i struggled what to start with and then I was looking at the Bloomin Love set sitting on my desk and then I knew…like you know about a good melon (huge bonus points if you can name that movie quote!!)

Here is what I came up with!!  The very best part of this fabulous card is that there is a new product to make the gorgeous heart die cut!!!  Check it out in my video tutorial–I'll teach you how easy it is to get those darn little pieces out!

I just love how intricate the heart is–and I think there will be quiet a few possibilities outside of it's intended purpose (Valentine's/Love) for this one with the flowers and a little color!

Make this card with me!!  Gather your supplies:

  • half sheet of crumb cake
  • scraps of whisper white cardstock for the heart and flower
  • gold foil for the banner
  • rose red, whisper white, versamark pads
  • precision plate with die brush and big shot
  • dimensionals

To incorporate the Rose Red, I stamped off the solid flower, stamped the outline on top in full-strength.  Diecut it and mounted it right on top.  The awesome little embellishment in the center came from the Love Blossoms Embellishment kit–and can you see it is sparkly??  How awesome is that?

I like the look of this challenge blog.
I also like this week’s chosen colours and your interpretation of it!
Is that line about the melon from the film ‘Dirty Dancing?’
