SIP 60: Color Challenge

Video tutorial to highlight watercoloring with embossing folders on this beautiful card using Stampin Up's Love and Affection Embossing Folder and an alternative version on my blog, www.thecreativitycave.com #stampinup #thecreativitycave #handmade #embossing #bigshot #thankyou #watercolor

Welcome to The Creativity Cave!  Today's card features our Stamp Ink Paper Challenge and I have to admit, I am not a purple girl. I was really wishing for some other colors to work with on this one, but I really love the way that my card turned out once I got going!  It is funny how when I work on challenge projects, the ones I really dread or I don't like at the start, often become some of my very favorites!

Check out the awesome video I created for my take on this awesome color challenge from SIP on my blog at www.thecreativitycave.com #stampinup #SIPChallenge #thecreativitycave #colorchallenge #handmade

  3. Am a new subscriber and making my first comment. While the first card was nice I very much liked the second one. The extra spot of green card made it interesting and not so bland.

  4. Dena, both cards are oh so elegant! My personal favourite and only because you asked is the 2nd one, the pop of green just adds something extra. Have a great week 🙂 Cheers Donna z 🙂

  5. Dena, I am definitely a “purple girl” and these cards are gorgeous! Like everyone else, my fave is the second card. That pop of green just takes the card to another level! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

  6. I really liked the first one when I saw it. Then when you said you were going to redo it, I thought, oh no, THAT’S not going to work! But now I like the second one better. The green just sets it off. The first one is still nice, but the second one looks great! A pink one with the green in it would look great too. Nice job on these cards though! I think now I have to get those embossing folders lol ..

  7. Love the elegant look of both cards, Dena, but since I need to choose, the second card with Pear Pizzazz is my favorite. I so love your videos since you have such a great sense of humor and such helpful videos. So look forward to what more you have to show us!😊😊

  9. Beautiful cards Dena! I was hoping you might have put the name of the stamp set that your sentiment came from? I’ll have to look in my stash. I know I’ve seen it before…I love the font on this one. Also…at the beginning of your video when you showed the 1st card, I gasped cuz it was so beautiful!! And then when you added the Pear Pizzazz on the 2nd card….it just gave this design a double-punch! Both are beautiful…but your 2nd card really has the WOW factor! Thanks for sharing! ☺
