I am just loving the Ombre Pads and the Summer Sorbet Stamp Set!  I couldn't put it away after I made a fun card a few weeks ago! So I started with a very simple card here–perfect for a fun birthday card for a kid or an adult! And can I just say that the spell check on my blog wants me to change Ombre to Hombre!!  Hee Hee! 🙂 It gives me flashbacks to when Joey was a cologne spray guy as a job at a Department store on Friends! 😉 "Hombre for Men?"

For the next card, I love the fun look on the outside and the inside is even better!!! I started with embossing the top layer with the Seaside Folder, then I randomly added some wink of stella between the lines of the folder (on the background:)

I then stamped the "summer" with the Layered Letters Alphabet and those darn Ombre (I mean Hombre) pads! The look is just so fun!  I added the word "fun" with the Classic Label Punch and the thoughtful Banners stamp set.

For the inside, I had to take things up a notch–I stamped and cut out (or not) the snow cones (oh how yummy would that be right about now???).  I then added the greeting and "sweet" diecut in Silver Glimmer Paper from the Sweet Cupcake Bundle. The tops of the snowcones have Wink of Stella on them like my first card.

So much fun!

  2. Love the snow cone cards, especially the “surprise” inside the summer card. And the Wink of Stella on the front makes me think of foamy waves on a lake. Great idea! (Don’t think the snow cones need to be cut out and popped up. They look great stamped right on the cardstock.)

  3. Love your cards! I know what you mean about the heat, I live in FL. It’s storming right now. We had a roofer come by, he wants to check and see if we have hail. Yes, Fl. gets hail. Big enough to hold in your hand.
At first I couldn’t figure out the shininess of your snow cones ( actually made them look like real ice!), then I remembered the Wink of Stella. OMG, I love the sea waves on the front of your card.
I’m sorry, I get carried away. I just love what you did!
