Welcome to the OSAT Blog Hop! I am so thrilled to have you here visiting The Creativity Cave! Whether you've just joined me from the lovely Andrea's Blog or if you are here for the first stop, I'm thrilled to have you stop by and stamp with me! I am so excited about my projects for today's hop! Our theme is a Tic Tac Toe Board-basically the idea is that you pick your 3 boxes (tic tac toe style, of course) and create something. I had kind of a hard time with this one, to be honest. BUT, as with many things, after the struggle, I've created some pretty awesome things! Here is the Tic Tac Toe Board:
So I chose Lace, Dies and Dots!
I used the Bouquet Die to create a gorgeous 🙂 card using a shabby-chic look! The colors are Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon with Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake. I LOVE how it turned out! It is easier than you may think–I diecut 8 of the larger of these two petals and 6 of the smaller petals. Using 1 3/4" circle punch, I placed each petal around the punch. I crinkled them first. Then I did the same but used a 1 1/4" base circle for the smaller petals. I adhered them to the top and cut the center stamen in Vanilla using the Bouquet die. I added a couple of leaves (also on the die) that I diecut using the typeset DSP.
The border is stamped in Crumb Cake (from the Summer Silhouettes Stamp Set). I added the Venetian Crochet Trim between the 2 rows of border (cause they were so not lined up–but you can't tell, can you!?!) The greeting is from And Many More! I also added a wink of stella on the Soft Sky petals–you can't tell from the photos though.
I totally think this would make an amazing Wedding Card–or a special birthday or celebration.
So using the same die, I created some really awesome flowers that I put in a cute tin can I have had for a while. I LOVE how it looks but had a hard time taking good pics of the flowers.
I added leaves I cut freehand from the Typeset DSP. Everything is the same supplies as the other card, just used the larger petals to make the bouquet!
I put a styrofoam ball and a half in the can and covered it with dsp. Hot glued the flowers on top. Pretty easy overall! Just takes a bit of time to diecut and crinkle everything.
Hope you loved my projects! Make sure you check out all the other projects on our hop! Next up is my friend, Justin! He is awesome! Details on my supplies/ordering are listed below. Thanks again for stopping by!
