Long time-no post!

Hi all,

I am sorry I have been so absent lately…lots going on in life!  Trying to keep up with it all!  Now that we are getting ready to settle into our summer schedule, I should be a little better! 🙂

Here are some fabulous samples for you to enjoy…be sure to come back soon as I hope to post often this week! 🙂

Since it has been rainy for a few days in Iowa, I thought I would post this card!  I made this a few weeks ago, and I must admit, I really love it!!  It was a whole lot of masking with post-its but it was pretty easy.  I started by putting a post-it across the bottom 2/3 edge and then I punched a 1 3/4 Circle in the center of another post it.  I placed it on the first one and then sponged thesummer sun SUN.  I removed the circle one and  covered the sun with the circle and then sponged the pumpkin pie sky.

I placed a post it over the sky and then I cut a curve to create the water/beach line.  I did the same thing and than added the palm tree…and of course some "sand" with the dirt stamp (did you know that one is retiring this year (Itty bitty backgrounds) that is like the end of an era–it is the oldest stamp set in the catalog!!

The background of the card is done in the new embossing folder (square lattice) and I added a little olive ribbon…Fun!

IMG_0468 This beautiful card was made by my friend Julie.  She used the Watercolor Trio set (from the Summer Mini) with the texture plate and a little hodgepodge frame…very cool!Colors are Perfect Plum and Always Artichoke.
