I am sorry for being missing in action. To say the least this past few months have been some of the most emotionally exhausting that I can remember! I am having a really hard time getting myself back into the swing of things. I am so thankful for everyone's support and understanding!
Since I last posted to my blog a few things have happened…My mom came for a visit to Iowa before Thanksgiving. She also came for Christmas. While she was here, on the 23rd of December, she got a call that her Biopsy had come back positive and she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After 2 more trips to Duluth, we met the surgeon, had an MRI, and had an outpatient Lumpectomy. It was much better than we first anticipated, so we've been thankful for that! So far her margins look clear and she will have a follow up and oncology appointments next week. I was with her for the last dr apt and surgery and my aunt will go for the Oncology appointments. I really am emotionally exhausted after everything that has happened. It has been tough to keep going. I feel like I've been trying to "start my year" several times. I don't think I've done it yet either, which is trying! In the mean time, my mom has moved into an apartment of her own and just passed her written test for getting her Driver's Licence back. That's what I know for sure as of today!
Back to stamping…The one thing I've been able to do is play and stamp in my office. It has been my escape (and a little help from some wine and my friends!)

This is a card I made for a swap last month. I used the sest, Petal Parade from Sale-a-bration. Colors are Soft Sky, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay Basic Black and Old Olive. I used one of my absolute FAVORITE new items, The SCalloped Tag Topper Punch from the new Occasions Catalog. It is FANTASTIC! I added some seam binding ribbon in Soft Sky and tied it with the silver baker's twine and popped the tag up on my card. The Shapes Punch Pack and a rhinestone are the last perfect touch!
