I’m Back…Finally…

Hi everyone!  I had the best intentions of putting up a post yesterday but the phone and my kids stole my thunder! 🙂

I had a fun class in Hampton last night…we made some great cards from my upcoming 10 Quick Cards…everyone really liked the cards!  On my way home, I always have my eyes peeled for little critters on the side of the road–last night I missed a couple but I believe there is a partial piece of a toad-like creature.  It hopped up just as I went by and I heard the thud….ugh!  No worries…I was driving Andy's car! 🙂

Okay…enough stories…back to samples…

IMG_1969 Here is a fun card using the set, House of Haunts and the Haunting Wheel.  Black ink with Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive inks were used with the brayer.  A cute button made from the Buttons Die was added with some black gingham ribbon!  LOVE IT!

IMG_3024 This card was made with a discontinued set, but we've got lots of leaves…and I just love the technique.  This was done by sponging fall colors on a piece of white cardstock, then clear embossing the leaf on top of the sponged color.  THen, brayering (or sponging–but brayering is faster) black ink right over the top…the technique is called Joseph's Coat.

Cool!

IMG_3043 My dear friend, Chari made this awesome card–it uses the set, Trendy Trees with the To the Nines printed paper.  Colors are Sahara Sand, CHocolate Chip, and Sage Shadow.  The 1 1/4 and 1 3/8" square punches were used with the word window punch.  A little chocolate ribbon and what a great card…change the colors for fall and have fun! 🙂

That's it for now…did you know it is the first day of fall…and my cards are fall themed?  Ella wished me a happy fall…it is like a holiday when you are that age! 🙂
