I am certain that this comes to some of you as shocking news, but look who's back!! Better than ever, if I may say so, too! I just returned refreshed from a much needed holiday break, an inspiring trip to Stampin up's Leadership conference in Nashville and some great, quality family time. We
had a great time in Nashville…they had some snow while we were there and I had fun watching my California friends take pictures of the snow coming down….it was cute…you know it was Liz and Julie! I also experienced the Grand Ole Opry, which was cool despite my udder lack of country music knowledge…when in Rome, right? Here are some pics from my trip…
These are my friends, Julie and Liz from California. Both are great friends whom I swap with regularily, and you've seen their amazing work on my blog often!
This is a pic from the Grand Ole Opry…that is Vince Gill who sang a few songs–the last of which was a really sappy song about Heaven and had everyone in the audience in tears. Since Country is so lost on me I didn't cry despite my long-standing emotional over-reaction to anything…not sure what my deal was but it was a nice ending to a fun concert. My friends laughed at me as I was pretty dumbfounded by the whole thing. I guess I wasn't sure how the whole Grand Ole Opry thing worked and since Country is not my deal I was probably kind of goofy…if you are reading this and laughing Jen, I know…ugh! :) Thanks for inviting me! :) Let's just say we had a GREAT time hitting the Nashville scene afterwords when we met up with a couple of CRAZY, FUN demonstrators from Canada…they were really fun!! This is the picture I took of the 3 of us at the Grand Ole Opry (all by myself…can you tell?)
That is Jo, Jen and me…can you tell we have fun on our trips? :) I just adore the friends I've met through Stampin Up and I truly feel blessed that I've been able to enjoy friendships from across the country with such amazing, insipiring women. I truly cannot believe how fortunate I am to have formed these friendships!
Enough sap….how about some cards?
I made some cards for a swap with my friends using the set, Valentine Defined. LOVE THAT SET!! The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, and Pear Pizzazz Prints. I used the new Fun Flowers Die (LOVE THAT ONE!!) and some black satin ribbon. I also used versamark on the background. We made this card at my club last night…fun!!
Come back for more tomorrow!!
Cute cards.. jealous you got to hear Vince Gill, he’s one of my all time favorite singers.
oh how I love you… and country music!! and all the awesome cards YOU create. You are good, girl!
