Hope all the mom’s had a great day yesterday! Andy, Ella and Carl let me stamp all day which was WONDERFUL!! I made a bunch of samples that I will start posting… I also stamped some cards for my Pretty Papers class this Tuesday plus worked on some projects for my Stamp Your Art Out vol. 4 which is scheduled for June 2nd–make sure you sign up!
Here is a cute sample using on of the discontinued sets–FLOWER FILLED. It uses the Print pattern background, Pixie Pink, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and Apricot Appeal ink/cs. Very spring-y! The greeting is from the set Brighter Tomorrow.
The next card is from an awesome set, Little Hellos. It is so cute–and has some images for most occasions. When I mounted mine, I cut the words off to be seperate from the images and mounted them on the side of the wood block so that I could use them seperately! TOO CUTE!! Barely Banana, Whisper White, Gable Green, Almost Amethyst cardstock, Dena’s Diecut Slides, Black StazOn ink, Amethyst, Banana, Gable Markers, White Gingham ribbon.
One of the sets that I am definately most disappointed about retiring is MIXED BOUQUET–this IS MY FAVORITE SET!! I LOVE IT! and I really don’t know what we should do in the wake of it leaving! Okay…I’ll get over it…but it is a fantastic set–very easy to stamp with and really fun!! This uses Happy Everything in Black, also Real Red, Only Orange, Gable Green ink Red and Orange CS, and stampin Sponges (sponge the color over the stamped area for a fun look).
Natural Beauty is another great set being discontinued. THis card is absolutely beautiful and my scan does not do it justice. The colors are pretty in pink, certainly celery, basic black. THe Leaves and Swirls Jumbo Wheel is used on the background (also being discontinued). The Gold COrd adds a touch of Fancy!!
Here is another awesome card…I can’t remember but I may have had this one on my Stampin Up website last week…but it is a goodie! The cool highlights were made using the white gel pen–if you don’t have one of these–you TOTALLY NEED ONE!! They are so awesome and they really are very opaque (some aren’t). The colors are tempting Turquoise, Gable Green and Whisper White (cs).
VERY fun and would be great for a Luau invite!
Hope you all have a great day! Don’t forget I have a pretty papers class tomorrow night– totally perfect for all of you who have lots of the printed papers and don’t quite know what to do with them (you know who you are! :)) And on Thursday night I have a few openings left for my COLOR BOOK CLASS ($35) We had a great time putting it together at Saturday’s Class–everyone really enjoyed it and thought it was well worth it!!
Please RSVP if you would like to come to either class! drekow@yahoo.com
HAPPY STAMPING!!
Hey Dena ~ great new website!! I wanted to post a note that everyone should take the color class…you will have so so so many color combinations and no more excuses that you don’t know which colors to use ~ it was a great time!
Hi Dena,
Great updates….the color class is a must…so many color combo’s to choose from. I enjoyed it very much!
