Happy Baby, Sad Baby!

Hi everyone!

Well, remember the pic I posted yesterday of my happy baby…today is the exact opposite!!  He has had a bad Bad Bad Bad Bad case of diaper rash and after a trip to the Doctor has a $50 tube of "butt cream" complete with steroids to hopefully bring it under control.  (I blame the diarrhea)

But now that he is happily taking a nap (or I am happy that he is taking a nap) I will post some more samples for you all to enjoy!!

Don’t forget: Pretties Class tomorrow at 10am, next week is Sat. OR Sun. all day stamping (one spot each day left)….

Img_2991 PRETTY!!!  I just adore this set, Sassy Stems (doesn’t that sound like a set I would like!)…and the word set is from Holidays and wishes.

This card uses Groovy Guava, Blush Blossom and Certainly Celery (a great color combo!!).  The flowers are stamped in StazOn Black and then aquapainted with ink pads.  The centers are glittered (hard to see) and my favorite touch is the blush blossom stamped flowers in the corner under the saying!  VERY CUTE!!

Img_3321 This cute card was designed by a demo friend of mine, Jo from Colorado.  Deb and I made this card at a shoebox swap that we participated in at convention back in July.

The stamps are Booglie Eyes and the Batty Jumbo Wheel.  The colors are Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black and Whisper white.  The images were colored using aquapainters and ink pads.

The fun edges are done with the spiral punch–it has a built in guide so it is automatically lined up when you punch it for even punching!

Have I mentioned that I love Halloween cards?  Here is another one…

Img_3327 This fun card is from the set, Autumn Apparations from the Holiday Mini.  I ADORE the little spider from the set!  I do not know why Halloween is so fun but it just is…

The colors are Really Rust, More Mustard and basic black.  THe word stamp is from All Holidays.  My dear friend, Chari made this (she is my usual roomate at events like Leadership and Convention) from California.
She also used Pumpkin, Black and Mustard grosgrain, Creepy Crawly Printed paper and some vintage brads…CUTE!!

Img_3468 Here is another cute card from that set…Autumn Apparations.  I like this one cause the colors are a little outside the norm for halloween.

I used Blue Bayou, Pumpkin Pie Basic Black, Whisper White and a touch of old Olive.  The pumpkin has the sanded background stamped on it–LOVE that stamp and the wheel is the spooky skyline jumbo wheel and then I added a touch of pumpkin grosgrain and black gingham…cute!!!

Img_3469 This brings me to my next adorable card (which I copied from somewhere…) I LOVE IT!!! Now, you may be thinking how am I going to use this cute halloween card if I don’t exactly send them…imagine this…COPY the layout of the card and stamp something else!!!  I totally think the 3 strips of cardstock in the back of the card are totally cute so go with that and change the colors.  A "long" saying would be perfect to use–like the Happy Everything one or Wonderful Favorites  Have fun with it…

For this card I used Pumpkin pie, Gable Green, Lavendar Lace, basic Black, Whisper White and Basic Gray along with the Sanded background.  I also sponged the edges and tied on some black gingham…WAY CUTE!!  Okay…just one more halloweeny…

Img_3458 This sweet card is from the set, Haunting Halloween, which has this cat in it.  I am so not an animal lover, but I swear anything turns immediately to cute when you dress it up in a halloween costume (you should see my kids!!)…

The colors here are Old Olive, Lovely Lilac, Basic Black and of course…you guessed it…pumpkin pie!

I colored it with the ink pads and aquapainters and used *GASP* some of last year’s halloween paper–I still have two packs of it left if anyone wants some.  For the coloring, I put a "wash" of pumpkin pie ink around the cat and it really pops the image out!  I believe I also colored the cat in going gray (a color I rarely use).  I mounted it on one of my scalloped circle diecuts and a touch of pumpkin pie ribbon and I am done!

Oh, and the stars in the background are embossed in clear (on the black cardstock)…looks way "cooler" in person!

Img_3455Okay, I lied…this is the last halloween one–I swear!!  This is a little treat holder that we made in my stamp club last month…isn’t it super cute!!  Wanna hear how I came up with it?  It is a good story!  I was at convention and the final evening’s events were winding down and since I had not taken enough pictures yet (like only 900–I swear!!) Deb and I riffled through the swap drop (a basket you give one of your swap cards for Stampin Up to use for displays, etc.) and someone had dropped this in!  So, I snapped my picture and went on.  I don’t think it had the adorable little dry-embossed dots on it–I believe that was my own personal genius!!  I used Almost Amethyst, Basic Black and whisper white cs along with Uptown Printed papers (cool colors!!) We rounded the corners and put it together with a jumbo eyelet and made the dots (the dry embossed ones) with the crop-a-dile, our cool, new, must-have tool!!  The scallop punch is a nice touch, too!!

I believe I have rambled on long enough…must sign off to accomplish something more before Carl wakes up and decides stamp time is over for Mom!! 🙂

Have a wonderful day!
