Greetings from the BIG APPLE

Hi all,

I am here enjoying a couple of days in NYC before I leave to head to Bermuda on my Stampin’ Up! Cruise!!

I came a couple of days early and stayed at Andy’s Mom’s Apartment (which is in the city–she and her husband are NYU Professors and have a fabulous apartment).  However, they are in Iowa with my kids! ๐Ÿ™‚  So it was just me and the city.  I only had to ask for help once while I went out on a little adventure.  The lady reassured me that she asks all the time and she is an actual New Yorker!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Andy came in yesterday and we had fun navigating the subway system and visiting Ground Zero–which was pretty moving.  It is totally under construction–still trying to remove debris and some of the other damaged buildings.  I heard someone comment that they have to be very slow and careful to preserve any remains that they appearantly still find!  It was really amazing to see.  I had been there with Ella a few years ago and it still looked very similar–what a terrible process!  The construction plans for the memorial and museam look very nice.  I will be anxious to see that one day!

After that we went out for dinner and then to Times Square–my goodness–lots of lights and even more peeople–I have never been down there at night as we always have had kids with us–just tons of tourists–and tons of "blatent commercialism" according to my dear husband! ๐Ÿ™‚  We were trying to figure out how much the side of the buildings are worth down there for the gigantic billboards….oddly enough there were absolutely no billboards for stamping–can you believe that? ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, we are off for some more adventure in the city before we board the boat and head out to Bermuda!  Hope you all have a good week and feel free to take advantage of my FABULOUS sale…FREE TAX AND SHIPPING on all orders over $20!!   Just e-mail me what you’d like to order–and don’t forget all those who order will be entered into a drawing for one of TWO $50 gift certificates that I am giving away!!!  drekow@yahoo.com

Take care and one more thank you for making this trip possible for me–I am so thrilled to be able to share my passion with you all and even more thrilled that it has blessed me with so many opportunities like this and even more friends!!!!  Have a great week!
Sincerely,

Dena (And ANDY!)
