Gorgeous Botanical Cards

3 Gorgeous cards using Stampin Up's Botanical Gardens Bundle! Video on how to create them on my blog!

So I've now made 3 different, GORGEOUS cards using the Botanical Garden Suite.  I ABSOLUTELY love these cards and I really like how beautiful the striped background is!  So I figured it was time for a video on how it was done since I've had quite a few questions!

The card made in the video is based on a color combo that I kind of accidentally stumbled upon (those colors ended up randomly in my workspace and I thought they looked amazing–so I went with it–and had a hard time stopping, too!)

The only thing I didn't have in this pic was the Grays–Basic Gray or Smoky Slate.

The card comes together quite nicely–I cut a whole bunch of flowers and then play with them! That is where this card came from!  (and a few others!)

I would totally encourage you to cut a bunch of these flowers up and then just play with different combinations of colors and shapes and sizes!

The previous 2 cards I made (and that were in the video) were similar, yet different.  I like the black one with the really bright colors and the contrast of the black centers.  The Basic Gray card has a softer feel and has just the shades of aqua (Pool Party and Bermuda Bay)

This card is kind of a combination of the two–soft yet I love the spectrum of color!

This card is just beautiful!!  I hope you loved the video–and the cards–and that they inspire you to try your own!!

  2. Dena, you have outdone yourself with these cards. They are simply gorgeous!!! I already have this stamp set and I can’t wait to get into it and make something similar to yours. And what a handy tip about the spacing of the stripes! Makes perfect sense. Thanks so much for sharing how to make these beauties!

  4. Found you quite recently on You tube and subscribed….so glad I did. Love your tutorials and adore how you have used some of the lighter/brighter colours for the botanical blooms. Makes a nice change from so many of the darker ‘heavy’ colours that seem to be used. Thanks for sharing.
