This week's challenge from my dear friends at the Global Design Project is Case the designer and these are my favorite challenges because they offer a great deal of leeway! I was excited to use the set! I have had it for a while, but have not done a lot with it yet, so here is my chance!
I love the polkadots in this set, so I really wanted to incorporate them into my project. They are really intended for use with the floral border image (I didn't use it on my card). The other thing I wanted to do is use a color combo that is a bit outside my color norm. I am aways using aquas and Razzleberry-type colors these days, so I thought this was good and different. It is actually inspired by some printed paper from last year:
The floral image is just awesome!! I love the look of this flower so I used it as a background and then popped up to really stand out! The leaves are so easy to add to the stamping, too and since they are seperate images, they are so quick to stamp!
Finally, I wanted to add some gold thread and my Greetings Thinlits–I thought it was a great way to tie the Navy back in. I love how this turned out and I am thinking I would like to try it with some different color combos, as well!
