Global Design Challenge: Sketch 34

When I saw the sketch for the Global Design Project this week, I knew I was in!! I just had to find some time to make the card! I probably could play an entire day worth of cards using this sketch, but given that it is Mother's Day, I had to limit my time so my family can spoil me rotten! 🙂 Ok, they didn't exactly do that, but they have taken good care of me so far and there is word of grilled steak for dinner! Yay!

Join me to make this awesome card–gather your supplies:

1/2 Sheet of Tangerine Tango
3 1/2 x 4 3/4" watercolor paper
3 5/8 x 4 7/8" black plus a scrap for "happy" to be diecut
vellum cardstock scrap
Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry and Tempting Turquoise ink pads, plus Black Archival
Aquapainter
Silver Glimmer Paper
Star Framelits
Crazy About You Bundle (framelits and stamp set)
Star punch (from Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack–grab it while you can–its on the retiring list)

I put some clean water down on my watercolor paper so the colors would blend nicely. I then went from light to dark ink colors. Dry completely. I added the stars on top and popped up a few. I added the Black "happy" that was diecut and the Birthday was stamped below. So easy!

Layer it up and pop that up on the Tangerine Card. Piece of Cake!

I think this card would be awesome in various color combinations! I truly think I could come up with a bunch of fun projects with this sketch. I love it! 🙂
