My sweet Aussie friends, Louise and Kylie are at it again with another awesome challenge this week! The challenge: CASE the designer (Copy And Share Everything) and I love CASE-ing cards because it is a fantastic way to get your creative juices flowing! Plus could this card be any more gorgeous? I love Louise's style!!
I came up with 2 cards and I just can't decide which one I like more–what do you think?
I used the Reason for the Season set and coordinating Festive Flower Builder Punch. I LOVE how awesome this punch is!!! It takes a few minutes to make a card–I will not lie–but the awesome part is it is PERFECT for all those scraps you have that you can't get rid of! Don't lie–you've got a bunch!! We all do–its okay!
For this card I started with a Crumb cake card base (5 1/2 x4 1/4" folded) and then I added a skinny trimmed layer (5 3/8 x 4 1/8") of crumb cake and stamped the sentiment in the bottom corner in Soft Suede. I punched 8 large, 8 medium and 2 small petals in Very Vanilla and stamped them using crumb cake ink (full strength for the large, stamped off for the medium and twice stamped off for the smallest petals). The leaves were punched in Crumb cake and then stamped in crumb cake. The centers were punched in Gold Glimmer.
To assemble the Poinsettia, I first used my stylus tool to "score" the petals from the center tip to about 3/4 of the way up the petal and then "curled" each petal so it would be dimensional. Then I started in the center and Glue dotted the 2 smalles ones together. Then again used glue dots to add the medium petals between each of the first 4 petals. I then punched a 1 3/4" circle and used that to adhere each of the largest petals. I actually glued a 1/2" circle in the center of the 1 3/4" circle so I could "space them out" a bit. I covered the circle with fast fuse and added the larger petals. I adhered the two parts together (the small and medium layer) to the large layer with a dimensional.
So pretty!!!
I thought I would try another card, and this is what I came up with–same card and layer, but I added a 3 1/4 x 4 1/2" very vanilla layer. This time I punched the smallest petals in very vanilla, the medium and large ones in crumb cake and the leaves in Soft Suede. The sentiment is from the Expressions wood accents. The center is vanilla with a pearl.
So, which one is your fav? Let me know in the comments!

They’re both beautiful! I love the use of very vanilla – it just adds an element of classiness.
