Hey everyone!! I am so excited to bring back Friday Quickie Techniques and Tips Videos! This my favorite series and while I've had to take most of the summer off, I am thrilled to be back!! This week's technique is an AWESOME one: Shaker Cards!!! I love shaker cards and they have been made even easier with the introduction of Stampin Up's Foam Adhesive Strips.
I really love this card because I wanted to create something that was both unique and had something different inside the "shaker" part. Here is a little list I came up with for the "insides" of your shakers:
Gather your supplies:
- 1/2 sheet of Basic Black and 4 x 5 1/4
- 4 1/8 x 5 3/4" Gold Glimmer Paper (and cut out the center)
- 4 x 5 1/4" whisper white (for inside) plus scrap for words
- Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, and Bermuda Bay ink pads
- Confetti Star Border Punch
- Star Framelits
- Window Sheets
- Gold Sequin Trim
- Foam Adhesive strips
The card is super easy to put together. I love how easy the foam adhesive strips are to use on a shape like this to go around. Really fun!!
