Welcome to Friday Quickies!!! I am so excited to be stamping with you today–I mean I am every day but I LOVE today's projects because I have something for everyone with this Oldie but Goodie Technique–whether you are feeling fancy or lazy! 😉 Emboss Resist is a technique that has been around forever–you simply stamp an image (usually bolder images work well) and emboss in clear or white powder on white (or light colored paper) and then apply ink over the top. The image resists the ink and creates a fun look! I have two projects in the video for you!
Gather Your Supplies:
- Eastern Palace Premiere Bundle
- One Big Meaning
- 1/2 Sheet of Dapper Denim Cardstock
- 3 5/8 x 4 7/8" Tranquil Tide
- 3 1/2 x 4 3/4" Watercolor Paper
- Dapper Denim, Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig, Versamark Stamp Pads
- Aquapainters
- Heat gun and White or Clear Embossing Powder
- Gold Natural Trim
Stamp and Heat Emboss the Flower image three times on the Watercolor paper. Color each on in a different color with aqua painters–darkest toward the center, lightest at the tip. You can totally go outside the lines, too! Once dry (or at least mostly dry), "spritz" with coordinating color on the aquapainter over that colored flower.

Add a Tassel on the ribbon and pop up onto card!

Now for the LAZY Emboss Resist!
Emboss Resist is awesome, but sometimes you just don't want to get out all the embossing supplies–so check out the Irresistably Yours DSP–it is on the retiring list so make sure you snap some up quick! Plus it is part of my Falling Flowers Online Class here.
Gather Your Supplies:
- 1/2 Sheet Melon Mambo Cardstock
- 4 x 5 1/4" Tangerine Tango (plus Scraps)
- 3 7/8 x 5 1/8" Irresistibly Yours DSP
- Scraps of Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, and Tangerine Tango, Pop Of Pink DSP
- Rhinestones
- Sponges
- Lemon Lime Twist ink pad (from Eastern Palace Bundle)
- Large Letter Framelits
Sponge the Lemon Lime Twist over the DSP and adhere the "HUGS" die cut from the Pop of Pink Printed paper. SUPER fun!!!!
Decorate with some flowers stamped from the Falling Flowers Set and cut with the coordinating framelits. Hi Dena, I just watched you making the two cards—one from the Eastern Palace and the other one says “Hugs.” I really like both of them.
