Welcome to Friday Quickie Techniques and Tips! This week I have several "tips" on getting more use out of card kits from Stampin Up!
First of all, all the card kits from the Annual Catalog on on sale through Sunday October 7th (so hurry!!) in honor of World Card Making Day, along with some stamp sets, select adhesives, cardstock and notecards/envelopes! It is a great time to stock up!

Here are just a couple of the gorgeous cards from the Soft Sayings Card kit. I then took the stamp images from the set included in this card kit to make this awesome card:
Gather Your supplies:
- 1/2 Sheet Crumb Cake
- 3 1/4 x 5" whisper White
- 1 x 3 1/4" Piece of Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral
- Coordinating ink pads: Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral
- Adhesive Backed Sequins
This is from the Lots of Happy Kit (my FAV!!) and I decided to change up the card design a little bit!
Gather Your SUpplies:
- 1/4 Sheet Bermuda Bay (4 1/4 x 5 1/2")
- 4 x 5 1/4" Pool Party
- Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green Stampin Combos Packs
To make this into a full sized card, I created the card as is from the kit, except I colored the card with the Stampin Blends. I added them to the card base to create a full size card. So pretty!
Gather Your Supplies:
- 1/2 Sheet So Saffron
- 4 1/8 x 5 3/8" Whisper White
- 4 x 5 1/4" So Saffron
- So Saffron Ink
- Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Combo Blends
- Light Daffodil Delight Blends
For this card, I wanted to take the die cut image, color it with blends and then I snipped it in half and spread it out a little more so you could see the coloring. Pretty against the So Saffron Card!
This next card doesn't use the card kit, but rather one of the other items on the World Card Making Day Special: Delightfully Detailed Notecards and Envelopes. These notecards are ADORABLE and they are great for creating quick and easy cards!
Gather Your Supplies:
This final card is one I made with the sentiment from the Notes of Kindness Card Kit. I combined it with the Painted Harvest Stamp set to make this beautiful fall card!
