Friday Quickie Techniques and Tips: Gradient Stamping

Video tutorial for this gorgeous card using Stampin Up's Flourishing Phrases Bundle on my blog!

I love the idea of Ombre stamping, or in the case of our Friday Quickie this week, Gradient Stamping (It's my technique, I can change it if I want to!!) 🙂

I used the term Gradient, as I feel like Ombre refers to shades of just one color, whereas Gradient offers more flexibility! Either way, I LOVE the effect!

The first version is simply stamping with an Ombre Pad (Rich Razzleberry in this case) and getting the effect.

Next I took another Ombre Pad directly to the paper (watercolor paper in this case) and blended the color with my aquapainter.  I added the GORGEOUS diecut and voila!  Beautiful card!

I added these Gradients via repeating an image in different colors.  I masked off the area and then stamped the colors from bottom to top they are: Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Watermelon Wonder, Melon Mambo, Real Red and Rose Red.  I then added the greeting and dots in Black Archival.

Finally, the cards from May's Paper Pumpkin Kit were perfect to go over a gradient background using sponging!  So pretty!  Colors are (from Top to Bottom) Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz.  I added some punches using the Blossom Bunch Punch and some Perfect White Accents.
