Hey everyone! Welcome to another adition to Friday Quickie Techniques and Tips Video Series! I am so excited about this week's Friday Quickie because it is one of those "experiemntal" ones–where is it just fun to keep playing!! The technique has been around a while–it is not earth shattering–but as with so many things, the old is new again! 🙂
This is a very simple card and a great start!
Gather your supplies:
- Choose 2-3 colors of markers and a block (I used a C for this one)
- watercolor paper
- greeting of your choice
- punches to accent (I used the Tree Builder, Elegant Butterfly, Petite Petal)
Here you can really see the difference between the look on watercolor paper and White Cardstock. The Watercolor paper will feather and leave more "interesting" looks in the color with feathering and color blending. You can also come back and blend more with water on the watercolor paper, while the White cardstock what you see is what you get!
So pretty!! So Simple and quick!!
For this next one, I did the same technique, just used a larger block and some different colors. In this case, Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant.
The Stamp is from Friendly WIshes. I added some Black Bakers twine and layered it up on Black and Razzleberry Cardstock.
So pretty! I also spritzed it with the Rich Razzleberry Marker.
Another quick one!
With this card, in an effort to create a bit more dimension, I stamped on my larger block, E and used the Playful Backgrounds plus the words from the Oh Happy Day card kit.
Super fun and I love adding the circles.

These are really unique cards, Dena. I think that this is a technique that I will have to try (especially the razzleberry/eggplant one….I’m a true purple girl!). Thanks for sharing.
