Sponge Shading with Stampin Up's Reason for the Season

Guess who's excited for this week's Friday Quickie Technique and Tips Video???  It is me–and hopefully you, too! 😉  This week we are working on Sponge Stamping and I couldn't be more excited about how beautiful these projects have come out!

I used Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral and Real Red to color the poinsettia (outline Memento Black). The leaves are in Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.

Then I made this one with Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.

The framing of these two cards is done using a square framelit and you can see how by watching my Framing you Stamped Images Video.

To achieve the colors shading, I stamped the petals in wisteria wonder and stamped it off once, then added full strength with the sponge daubers and finally Elegant Eggplant in the center.  Topped it off with an Iced Rhinestone.

Then I decided to mix it up a bit and tried it with Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy!  LOVE how pretty this one came out!

Then I decided I needed to try some flower images and I thought this made for a great "fall floral" card.  I used Garden In Bloom with the same color scheme as the Purple Poinsettia.  The yellow flowers are using delightful Dijon (stamped off then full stregth).

I love the simplicity of this layout, too!

The center of the flower is my fav:  Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack–and I did the Faux Suede technique to add some texture!

Now I knew I wanted to try a butterfly off the bat–I LOVE how this card turned out–especially because I am in such denial that fall (and GASP, WINTER) are coming!  This is a pretty spring card and I love it!!  I have been doing lots of snowflakes and Christmas Trees, and Sleigh's so I felt it was time to get back to something spring-y-er!:)

The greeting is from Crazy about You.  Colors are Blushing Bride, Watermelon Wonder and Melon Mambo.  I added some Watermelon dotted ribbon and a Calypso Coral Lots of Labels Framelit.

The shading is so pretty!!  You can see it clearly here.  I added a subtles button with a 7/8" scallop circle punch in dazzling diamonds glimmer paper.
