Found My Bliss

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all thawed out…it is stinking cold here in Iowa (it is always bad when the morning weather tells you the current temperature is -30F…that is just never good!

I am sorry I was absent last week–I had the worst cold (I am still trying to get past it, in fact) and to add to that, Andy was in Germany, there were 2 snow days for the kids, a late start and a teacher in-service day–lets just say last week wasn't exactly educationally packed!

Ella did a good job taking care of me and I have just started sleeping without the help of NyQuil!  Andy returned home just in time to watch the Superbowl, and although he went to bed just after half-time, I managed to stay up to see the end, YIPPIE!!

Anywhoo…back to stamping!  I did manage to start back stamping near the end of last week, and I made some fun cards using the Sale-a-bration set, Bliss.  This is one of the fabulous sets you can recieve for FREE when you place a $50 order from me!

IMG_9322 I am  am pretty proud of this one because it is actually a "Dena Original" Since that doesn't happen that often, I do like to mention it!  I tend to "Copy and Improve" a lot as I am pretty busy!

This card uses Crumb Cake cardstock with Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, and the new First Edition printed paper.  Some Rhinestones, a little Crochet trim (Victoria) and then the Curly Label, Modern Label, and 1" circle punches were used.  I actually made a bunch of these for swapping without the sewing, and they looked great if you are just not up to the sewing.  I do like that touch, though!

IMG_9323 This is an awesome card that I borrowed the idea for from our Demonstrator Web Community that has over 130,000 samples for us to browse!  How cool is that?  It has the Bliss set, with the sanded background (it is a little harde to see here), with the colors Marina Mist, Early Expresso, Sahara Sand, and a little Peach Parfait.  I used the Modern label punch along with the punch pack, a rhinestone and a little crochet trim.  You can also just see a touch of the eyelet ribbon border punch along the right-hand side in peach.  Here is another view:

Check back for more tomorrow!

  1. Hey! So I have your Leadership swap (the top one w/out the stitching) and I have to tell you, it’s one of my FAVORITES. So simple, but I love it. Had to tell ya. 🙂
