So I really got on a creative kick this weekend and I am really so excited about how awesome this card turned out! I'll admit, the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches didn't get me too excited, but I really love their challenges, so I thought I had to work something awesome out and here is what I came up with: the sketch:
First off, I had my set picked out (ok, it was already out from my Friday Quickie post) but I wanted something really fun and bright for spring. I decided I wanted my printed paper to be black polkadots (I happened to have them sitting out from another project–I'll post it later in the week!) So I wanted a great pop of color and these looked fantastic together: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Watermelon Wonder, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, and of course, Black! LOVE how these look and I think the card really showcased the colors together! Check out the video
As you saw in the video I embossed the Pool Party panel with the Brick Wall Folder, but my sample here has the Large Polkadot folder–I like this better, to be honest! You never know till you try!
The background has the marker spritzing (oh my fav!!) in black and some silver metallic thread. I also added the Wink of Stella on my sample, which is fantastic (though really hard to capture in photos!).
