Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop! Whether you are joining us from Lori's awesome blog or you are just starting here, WELCOME to The Creativity Cave!! I am so excited to have you stop by and check out some seriously adorable Easter projects!! I have to tell you, I took our theme this month of "Bunny Hop" fairly seriously! :)
OH MY GOSH!!! These projects are just sooooooo darn cute!! Who doesn't like bunny ears and butts?????? :) First of all, after you get over the cuteness, you may be thinking to yourself, how on earth is it possible that we are even discussing Easter projects, much less making them, but get ready–it is happening!! If you are like me, you are working on the impression that Christmas was last week and the people who celebrated Valentine's Day already clearly are not on top of things because how can it possibly be that time of year already??? Well, the good news is that if Easter is around the corner, so is spring!!! YAY! Now that makes the idea of Easter projects way easier to take, right!?
Let's start with bunny butts!! I was inspired by Sue's Bunny Butt treat bag that I saw on Pinterest recently and LOVED how cute it was! So, I thought I would try my hand at a bunny diving into a berry basket! The bunny was made from a 2" circle punch and 2- oval punches. I drew on the "feet" with my pink pirouette marker
I used the fringe scissors to create the grass–just tucked behind the basket.
The Bunny butt is just a pom-pom (3/4" but 1/2" would probably be a little better).
The basket is just part of the Berry Basket Bigz Die. I cut one side off of the die and left about 1/8" past the score line. THat way I could give the basket a bit of a #3D look. I adhered it to the card with dimensionals behind the tucked edge. The bunny parts just fit over the basket or tucked into it.
The basket it SOOOOOO stinkin cute!! I used the Berry Basket Die in its intended purpose–as a basket! I see these baskets everywhere–Target has some adorable ones that are cermamic and aqua in color (wow is that a fantastic idea!!) Anywho, this one (and the one on the card) are diecut from Kraft 12×12 cardstock. It is a heavier weight, which is perfect so you can fill it with awesome treats!!
You can see on my chart the pieces I punched to get the bunny. I cut 2 Kraft Ovals (second to smallest) with the Oval Framelits, 2 of the smallest ovals in Pink Pirouette and then all the pieces needed to create the bow (2 of each except just one of the rectangle). Last but not least, a cute little bunny nose with a heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.
The eyes are Neutrals Candy Dots (black) and the whiskers are 3 pieces of white baker's twine! TOTES ADORBS!!!!
