Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop!! Whether this is your very first stop or you are joining in from the Lovely Lori's Blog, I am just so excited to have you here at The Creativity Cave! This month our theme is With Gratitude, which I absolutely love! While we are always thinking about gratitude at this tine of year, I am always so very grateful for amazing friends–and especially this week!
I hurt my shoulder last week (like to the point of not being able to move it at all without excruciating pain) and my friend Kelly came to my rescue (literally!) Together with Bonnie, they helped me get a huge workload done and I am so thankful for them both!! So with them in mind, here are a couple of cards that I created:
Gather Your Supplies:
- 1/2 Sheet Fresh Fig
- 3 3/4 x 5" Early Espresso
- 3 5/8 x 4 7/8" Crumb Cake
- Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Fresh Fig Ink pads
- Very Vanilla Polka Dot Tulle RIbbon
- Fresh Fig Ruffled Ribbon
- Sheltering Tree and Buffalo Check Stamp Sets
- Stampin Sponges
- Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint
My first card is super cute–and combines some new and old: Buffalo Check meets Sheltering Tree!
While it is really hard to capture on camera, in the video you can see the fun way I incorporated shimmer paint into this sweet card! Super quick and easy to add some shimmer to your images!! The next card uses a different method!
And I loved the double ribbon layer!
Isn't this a fantastic card? Easy, too! (oh I love easy cards!!)
My next card used some die cut leaves that were left over from a card I made a couple of weeks ago! I was trying a new ccolor combo (and let's just say I did not like it, but stuck with part of it….the Olive and Blackberry…let's just say the Mint was not a welcome addition to that two-some! 😉
I LOVE the layered leaves sticking out between the layers of the diecut ovals, with a little stamped image behind.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE this card! It is so pretty and easy and fun to create!! I think lots of colors would be fun with this combo of leaves, too (maybe even Mint, LOL!!!)

Super cute Dena! That Ruffled Fig ribbon is gorgeous!!
I really love your second card!
Dena, I hope you are moving that shoulder again soon! TFS your cards!
Great cards! Thank You! LOVE the Fig ruffled ribbon and mixing it with the polka dot ribbon too, VERY Clever! The Buffalo plaid was the perfect touch… just really kicked up the card and it was already beautiful! GREAT “Thanks” card too and great tip, cover the THANKS so the ink doesn’t bleed when you spritz it, GREAT IDEA!
Hope your shoulder is better too.
It is—thanks!!
