Welcome to The Creativity Cave! I am so excited to have you join me at my little corner of the internet! Thanks so much for stopping by! Whether you've just joined in from Lori's Blog or if you are here for the first stop, I am so glad to have you! This month we are Saying Goodbye to samps/products that are retiring from Stampin Up! I hate saying goodbye. There are several really wonderful stamp sets retiring this year and I have focused on two here: Memories in the Making and Another Thank You. These are awesome sets! I have a great project here along with a few step up options!
I have to tell you that as we speak, I am in London!! We are visiting my family (Andy's Mom lives and works here for the moment) and we wanted to visit before we head to Barcelona for the Mediterranean Cruise with all my Stampin Up friends! I know, I know I should not be working while on vacation. I have to tell you it was not my plan. I had totally had plans to have it all ready before any of travel started, but today we climbed the stairs of St Paul's Cathedral and took in some AMAZING views! It was truly inspiring to be in St Paul's today! I think it is my favorite place in London because the scale and detail is unmatched to anything I have seen in my life. HOWEVER, I have plans to visit several places in Italy that may give it a run for it's money next week! I'll keep you posted! This is truly a trip of a lifetime and I am so humbled to be taking it! YAY! Now back to my cards…
I'll have you know I was able to upload this video from the National Portrait Gallery in London! :) They had better internet than where I am staying, but I will NOT be complaining because the video here is ridiculous:
This is the view out of the window of my Mother in Law's Flat! OH MY GOSH!! It is amazing! We are having such a great time and I love that we get to experience London with someone who lives here and has the inside scoop! 🙂
So this card is adorable and super easy to make. I stamped the wreath with So Saffron ink and added the flowers with Melon Mambo Calypso Coral and Rose Red. Such a great color combo! I added leaves in Pear Pizzazz….not sure where that image is in the set? It is the end of the arrow! (!) So cool! I have a video I made of it and if I can get the internet to cooperate with me long enough I'll load it–otherwise it will be when I get back!
For the first "stepped up" version, I simply added some rhinestones. Easy Peasy and a nice touch (let's be honest, everything is better with bling)!
The Greeting is from Another Thank You–stamped in Black Archival ink.
Finally, I added a little more–I took out my Tree Builder punch (one of my fav's) and added a flower punched to the center of the Melon Mambo flower (in Melon Mambo cardstock) and then a Pool Party Bird (complete with an eye!) The Black Marker provided both the spritz (like I could help myself) and the eye! 😉
Finally, I added a bow in White Cotton to complete the card. The rest is the same as the others!
So much fun!
