Creative Inking Blog Hop: Peeking into the Holidays

Creative Inking Blog Hop

Welcome to The Creative Inking Blog Hop!  I am so excited to have you visit us this month where the theme is Peeking into The Holidays!   Whether this is your first stop or you've just come from the amazing Lori's Blog, I am so thrilled you've stopped by The Creativity Cave!  With the release of our Holiday Catalog upon us in just a few days (September 1st), it means the crazy season is about to start!  I for one am in complete denial, followed by the THRILL of the fact that my kids go back to school next week.  And while I love spending time with them, this has not been the easiest summer.  They have wanted rides to places, they have consumed their body weight in food everyday and left their stuff everywhere.  We need to get back to school and a better routine! However, I am also emotionally unprepared for the holidays to be "around the corner" as they say!  My favorite way to keep from being reminded of that is to bask in the fun of Halloween!  I love Halloween–an fall in general!  It is so fun and sweet and cute (not the icky parts of Halloween-I only like the sweet parts!) Literally–there is candy, costumes, adorableness at school and so many fun parties!  It is the best (except for the sugar rush the kids get!) Plus they don't like chocolate that much, so HELLO!? Score!

I sponged the edges of each of the door panels, and added a door knob that is an enamel dot that I "colored" with a black sharpie so it would be black.  I forgot about it in the video, but you can see it on my sample in the video.  But I had already shot the pictures before I added it.  My bad! 🙂

  2. I’ve watched your video 3 times and will probably 3 more times. I learn something every time I watch. Can you please tell me what your squares measurements are? I’m making a door for a wedding card, and feel that these square would enhance the door! I’m going to make a couple holding hands walking away from you. You open the card and there’s the phrases about journeying with your best friend. Also on the front would be a stamped church, I can’t remember right now, do we have a stamp of a church? I don’t blog or film so feel free to use any of this idea, if you wish too
