Thanks for joining me on the Creation Station Blog Hop! You just came from the lovely Sara's Blog! I'm so glad you stopped by The Creativity Cave!
Our theme this week is Fall Fun and I just love Fall!! It means back to school, football, changing colors, cooler weather, sleeping with the windows open and I just love fall stamping!
I stamped my cards last night with my very good friend and downling, Pami! She wanted to come over and stamp Christmas Cards–well like all good stampers we got off track and this is what we made together! Well, she talked and I stamped! 🙂 It was so fun to catch up–we had not talked in FOREVER so I was glad to hear about all the fun things going on in her life! Let's just say I've never seen her so happy! <3
So, this card was based on her swap from our downline meeting earlier this week–I loved it because it uses a really unique color combo that includes Bermuda Bay (one of my fav's!):
Isn't this adorable?! I love the gold on the acorns!! I think it is so fun to put together different colors and who doesn't love a little bling? Mossy Meadow, Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral–how fun?! I also love the textures used here–the Woodlands Embossing Folder, the glimmer paper, the Burlap ribbon!
So I incorporated all those fun things into my card, too! For my card, I choose the Vintage Leaves set but kept the Thankful from the Acorny Thank You set! I added a crumb cake leaf and an Into the Woods Wood Accent (the acorn).
Here is a close up!
Of course I cut a few gold glimmer leaves, so I made this super simple card using Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry with a Blackberry Bliss Card Base. The Into the Woods cotton ribbon is so pretty here, too! Kept it simple!
So simple and pretty–my kind of card!
Well, I had to do another SIMPLE card-Soft Sky, Basic Gray and Silver GLimmer this time!
But I still had a gold leaf and I had to get the Bermuda Bay back out–and I LOVE adding Hello Honey to the mix, and so I added this to the pile of cards! How sweet and simple!
Some Grunge (speckles) are just what the background needed!
Now after Pami left, I thought of one more card–I hope she likes this one! I embossed that folder again this time on Bermuda Bay and I had a half of a Faux Suede leaf left over from Yesterday's Friday Quickie Video, so I made this card!! I love how it turned out! I love the non-traditional colors and I LOVE the typeset DSP on this one!!
The Bermuda Bay Sequins added the bling I needed and I just love the look combined with the Crochet Trim!!
See how pretty the texture is on that leaf?!? It is a Soft Sky Faux Suede…not sure how to do the Faux Suede? I just happen to have a video for you!
Thanks again so much for stopping by to check out my projects!! Hope you liked them! Make sure to subscribe to my mailing list (in the side bar to the right) and my YouTube Channel, The Creativity Cave for more fabulousness!!
Up next, the wonderful Deborah! Can't wait to see what she has created!
Terrific projects, Dena! I love the pops of bright colours and the shine of the glimmer paper. Great showcasing of the Vintage Leaves bundle!
Thanks so much, Deborah!!
