Well, I must say that this was my absolutely favorite convention…why? Well, the fact that it was SU’s 20th anniversary celebration didn’t hurt, we were the first to see the new catalog, the fact that I had my best year with SU didn’t hurt, and the fact that I had a great time hanging out with all my friends from around the country was great, but I suppose it was that cute little pink bag that they gave me! 🙂
I ended up at Demonstrator of the Year # 63. There are around 50,000 demonstrators in the US and I placed at #63 in a category that weighs sales, recruits, and promotions. It is a complicated formula but it landed me a pink bag $500, and an all expenses paid trip to Southern Utah to stay in a hotel with a spa, awesome shopping, and amazing scenery(it will be Sept. 17-23rd)!! Plus we will be able to tour the manufacturing plant where stampin up produces their stamps!! How cool?!! We found out our placements at the awards night where they call you out and then you go onstage and get a big hug from Shelli (the founder and ceo of SU) and your picture is taken on stage. I barely remember that part…but what a great night!! 🙂 I was just out of the top ten in sales, but I still earned an award, so I was really excited!! I am 4th from the Left side in the black dress.
This is me and my friend Jen–she is from Cedar Falls but lives in Colorado Springs and she was the #10 demonstrator of the year…she has a big downline and has done an amazing job–I was so excited for her!
We had a really great time at convention–it was amazing and I really enjoyed seeing all my friends and soaking up all the fun of earning this award! I was really proud of my accomplishments–I’ve been watching people do this for 10 years and I really wanted to do it, too!! I will always look back at this and just smile thinking about how it all felt!
So, I want to thank you all….from the people who have supported my business to my downline and new recruits to the people who have been posting on my blog who don’t even know me–those words are absolutely treasured and I am so thankful to each of you for helping me make my dream come true!!
Once again…great job Dena! I’m sure it was so exciting for you and to share it with other demonstrators…especially Jen. Wow…you both did great this year! Have fun on the trip!
I’m just so happy for you! Well deserved! Now, I think I should get creative and make you a card featuring pink bags…..you’d think after all these years of your inspiration I’d get onto the original stuff a bit more! Thanks for all you add to my life!
