A Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop: Sprinkled with Love

Ppbh banner

Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!! I am so excited to have you join us here at The Creativity Cave whether you are stopping by from the amazing Andrea's Blog or this is your first stop, I am just thrilled to have you here!

I absolutely LOVED this month's Paper Pumpkin kit!  It is soooo cute and the cards are super easy to create.  One of my favorite parts of Paper Pumpkin is the challenge of coming up with alternative ideas for my subscribers to inspire them to use their kit in different ways than it was intended. I think my projects so far totally fit that bill!:) One of the things that I do for my subscribers is provide them with additional ideas for using their kits.  There are usually 12-15 additional project tutorials each month!  That is some super inspiration!  Subscribing info posted below (including a special for new subscribers!)

My first project is ADORABLE (if I can just say so)–and OH SO Easy!  I started with watercolor paper–it is the key for the ease of these projects!

Both cards have the same supplies (just different colors):

  • 1/2 Sheet Peekaboo Peach (5 1/2 x 8 1/2) or Pink Pirouette for the second card)
  • 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 Calypso Coral (or Peekaboo Peach for the second Card)
  • 3 1/2 x 4 3/4" Watercolor Paper
  • Aqua Painter
  • Black Archival, Peekaboo Peach, Pink Pirouette, and Calypso Coral ink pads
  • Black Pens (I used the retired Project Life Pens–similar ones will be in the new catalog next week)
  • May's Paper Pumpkin Kit
  • Clear Wink of Stella

I started by just coloring 3-4 circles on my watercolor paper (I arranged them in triangles so they would be visually appealing). I started with Pink Pirouette, added Peekaboo Peach and finished with Calypso Coral.

I then drew lines from each flower to create a bouquet.  Finally, I stamped the dots in the center of each flower.  SOOOO cute and SOOOO easy!

To finish off this card, I stamped the sentiment (all stamps from May's PP Kit) and added some of the little iridescent dots from the PP Kit and some Clear Wink of Stella.

This second card was mainly the same concept.  To start, I stamped the curved words in Black ink, did the watercoloring and added leaves to each flower using Pear Pizzazz ink and my aqua painters.

I added the dots and stamped the flower centers to finish them off, including some Wink of Stella (It is so hard to capture it in a photo).
